Enamelware

2018-2019

Bronze and copper with glass enamel

Each piece starts as a flat sheet of metal and is patiently shaped and hammered by hand. The process of 'raising' a large bowl or vessel can take days. Once the form is finished, glass enamel is kiln-fired over the metal, combining the organic and unpredictable nature of glass enamel with carefully crafted metalwork.
